What assignments are you most intrigued by?
Overall I am excited for this class. Looking over the assignments for this class (so far) I am intrigued by the reading portions and blog comments. I feel like I am not that good at telling stories so this will be a learning experience, and the project portion I feel like I always dread projects. I do not know why because I like art projects, quilting projects, etc. but making something that is going to be online for essentially forever is a little nerve wrecking. The feedback that comes after the project is not as nerve wrecking, I know it is from fellow classmates doing the same type of project and it is more constructive than anything.
How is this like/unlike what you have done in other classes?
This class is different in that it is totally open online. Anyone can see my work, can comment on it, and it is out there. Other online classes I have taken have been restricted to just through canvas, where only people in that particular class can see it.
Are there any extra credit options that grab your attention?
There are a few extra credit options that grab my attention. Extra Reading (if I have time between other class work), the Wikipedia Trails, Famous Last Words, and the back-up and review. Reading because I have always loved to read, I can curl up with a book and a drink (ranging from Kool-Aid to an adult beverage depending on my mood) and spend all night reading a book and getting submerged into the world that the author has created. The Wikipedia Trails, because I have worked on a Wikipedia page for another class actually (same screen name or a variation of it) last semester in my History of Science: Cold War class here at OU. The famous last words and the back-up and review options, because they are similar in a review of what I have read or done for the week in this course.
