Miemun and Khojisteh notes
- very rich king had no son or daughter, he prayed and prayed for a son, the gods gave him a son
- sons name Miemun or auspicious
- he was soon married to Khojisteh or prosperous
- the two were inseparable, excessive intimacy, friendship and affection
- Miemun bought a parrot for a price of a thousand huns.

Khojisteh and the Parrot notes
- Miemun said to Khojisteh that he is going to preform a journey to a certain country and shall also make a voyage in order to visit several ports
- Kjojisteh was very sad and could not sleep or eat for being apart from her love
- a prince came and stayed in the city and asked Khojisteh to come see him for a couple hours then he would present her with a ring
- she decided to talk to the sharuk who was also female in hopes that she might give her leave to go visit the prince
- the sharuk told her no, she should not submit to such a crime
- this made Khojisteh mad that she was advise not to go
- Khojisteh killed the sharuk (female bird) by throwing her on the ground
- Khojisteh then went to the parrot, he knew if he would advise against her going he would soon be dead as well
- the parrot agreed to tell her a story about her situation and god forbid if her thoughts to take action and her husband hear of her secret the parrot will make peace and tranquility between them like the parrot of Ferukh Beg
- Khojisteh asked of the whole story of Ferukh Beg
