First Impressions/ Are You Already Familiar with Some of these Tech Tools?

Overall with the tools that we will be using for this class, so far, I am fairly comfortable with. I have blogged before for other classes. I want to say that I have used Weebly, one of the website publishing examples, before as well. Bookmarking, I currently have a short list of favorites that changes each semester depending what class I am taking. Including online class pages, Google doc. pages, books for class, canvas, and even Amazon. I have in the past edit some of my own photos on my laptop or an app that I had on a tablet once upon a time. On my phone, I think just about everyone these days, I have Instagram (same screenname) that I can use to edit and crop photos. It will just be learning where the buttons are at that I need to use to do what I would like to do with them.

How is this online environment like/unlike what you have experienced in other classes?

As in my last post the only major difference between this class and other classes I have taken is that this is completely open online and not just through canvas. Yes, we are able to access some of the link we need for our class work through canvas but it opens up to another screen outside the comfort of canvas. With that being said I am still excited about the open online aspect of this class and that it will be there when I am done with school. I will have the opportunity to change my blog page some in so that it is not oriented around a class, but more to the topics that I enjoy. I will still leave the content up because it will be good to have, others can see my work and hopefully learn from it.

Are there any web skills that you really want to work on this semester?

I am open to learning new web skills that will help me grow. One of my teachers (Professor Pandora) said yesterday "that the skills we are learning today could be for a job that does not exist yet." This gave me hope in to as why I am still in school, why it took me so long to find a major that I enjoy, and why I still do not know what I want to do after a graduate but know what I want from the job.
